I have been a sufferer of panic attacks ever since college. Randomly, one day while walking to class, I started to really freak out about something(can’t remember what it was exactly). It wasn’t just a simple worry - it was like I was completely consumed by it. I went into a cold sweat and it felt like I couldn’t breath. I honestly felt like I was going to die for a minute there. I actually went to the doctor the next day because I thought there was something wrong with me. As it turned out, he told me I had a panic attack.
Me, have a panic attack? I almost laughed when he told me I had a panic attack - I thought it was just some made up thing for people who worried excessively over stupid stuff. However, after he told me the symptoms I was shocked that I actually had a panic attack.
